🔑 Roles & Permissions

Access is managed separately for each module — Literature, Safety Database Monitoring, and Regulatory Monitoring — so each person gets exactly the access they need, and nothing more.

👉 Roles are set per module

Roles are assigned per module rather than as a single account-wide role. The same person can hold a different role in each module — for example Admin in Safety Database Monitoring, Editor in Literature, and No Access in Regulatory Monitoring. Global roles from older versions no longer apply; access is determined entirely by each user's per-module role.

In Regulatory Monitoring, the Editor role is designed for Subject Matter Experts and is sometimes referred to internally as "Evaluator" — the in-app role name is Editor.

📔 Library add-on — Viewer role

Separate from the modules above, a read-only Library Viewer role opens your literature Library to colleagues who don't use the Literature module. It's enabled as a standalone module on request. Library Viewers can browse, search, sort and filter publications and open publication details, but cannot edit any literature data (e.g. extractions), and the link back to the literature search is disabled.

You can see who holds which role in your organization under Settings → Members.
