👉 With version 3.0, we introduced a small but powerful change to the search logic - resulting in a much more useful clinical trial search on Flinn.

Before: Clinical Trials that are published within the specified date range, are found in the search

Now: Clinical Trials that are published or updated within the specified date range, are found in the search

Technical summary:

In addition to “Date of registration”, the “Last refreshed” date is used to index clinical trial updates. The “Date of registration” is still displayed in the result list and detail view for transparency, in addition to the “Last refreshed date”.

This will ensure users can find clinical trials that are active within the timeframe and avoid missing important clinical trial updates, especially for trials that are taking multiple years

Users can expect to receive a higher number of search results when re-executing an ICTRP search or starting a new search with this database.
